The ghee made using the Bilona (wooden churner) method is known as A2 Vedic ghee.
So how is our ghee made?
It undergoes the following steps to get its medicinal values
1. Boiling raw A2 milk
2: Setting up curd
3:Churning of curd
4: Separating fat
5: Heating makkhan (fat)
The golden liquid is then strained and stored.
WHY IS A2 GHEE SO EXPENSIVE?
In this process around 30 KG of Curd is used to make just 1 KG of ghee!
WHAT ARE BENEFITS OF A2 OVER A1 GHEE ?
It is considered a healthier alternative to regular ghee as the primary ingredient of A2 ghee, A2 cow milk, does not contain a type of β-casein protein called the A1 protein. This protein is considered detrimental to the body and has more negative effects on the lactose intolerant.
Being higher in nutrition values such as protein, iron, sodium, calcium, vitamin A, D, E with Omega 3 and 9 fatty acids, A2 cow ghee has many health benefits.
